Baiswara community reached Vindhyadham after traveling 140 km on foot


Mirzapur, 13 April (HIST). Following the tradition that has been going on since time immemorial, the people of Baiswara community reached Vindhyadham on Saturday after a four-day journey on foot. 30 people of the society traveled 140 km long and reached Ganga Ghat in Harsingpur of Con Block and came to Vindhyachal by boat. Due to the ban on boat operation, on the instructions of ADG Zone Varanasi, Police Station Head Vindhyachal made the people of Baiswara community cross the Ganga from Chilh by boat.

People of Baiswara community, after fulfilling their wish, travel a long distance and come on foot to Vindhyavasini Dham. People from Unnao, Rae Bareli, Pratapgarh and other districts reach the Dham on foot, dancing and singing with musical instruments, carrying flags in big bamboos and small flags in their hands, to have the darshan of Maa Vindhyavasini. On Saturday, people of Baiswara community boarded a boat from Harsingpur of Chilah police station on the other side of the Ganga and reached Vindhyachal on the other side of the Ganga, took a bath and worshiped in the temple of Maa Vindhyavasini.
