Ranchi, October 18 (Hindustan Reporter) The court has refused to grant bail to Chhotan Turi, an active member of the banned Naxalite organization TSPC, accused of carrying out a deadly attack on the police force. The Additional Commissioner's court rejected it after hearing on Friday.
The accused is in jail since June 26 in a case related to Budhmu police station. He had filed a petition on October 14 seeking bail. He is accused of carrying out a deadly attack on the raid team formed on January 29, 2023 under the leadership of Khalari's then DSP Animesh Naithani. The DSP himself has lodged an FIR in Budhmu police station under sections of murderous attack, Arms Act and Naxalite Act. The IO has completed the investigation and filed a charge sheet against the accused. FIRs have also been registered against the accused in other police stations of the state.
