Bail of former CM's daughter rejected in Delhi liquor scam, charge given to investigate the child – News India Live

Delhi Excise Policy: Former Chief Minister of Telangana K. Chandrashekhar Rao's daughter and BRS leader K. Kavita has received a big blow from Delhi's Rouse Avenue Court. The court rejected the interim bail plea of Kavita, who is lodged in Tihar jail in the Delhi Liquor Policy Scam case. BRS leader Kavita was arrested in this case only last month. On April 2, the court sent him to judicial custody for 14 days. He will remain in jail till April 15.

He was in charge of his son's exams

K.Kavitha applied to the court to seek interim bail after taking responsibility for her son's exams. During the hearing on the petition of the BRS leader, his lawyer argued that K. Kavita's son's exams are going to start in the month of April. 16 year old son needs mother's support during exams. The lawyer further said that neither the brother nor the father can compensate for the lack of the mother, in such a situation they should be granted interim bail.

ED protested

During the hearing, lawyer Zoheb Hussain appearing for ED said that Kavita is the main accused in this case. He has also destroyed evidence against him, including evidence recovered from his mobile phone. The ED counsel claimed that the investigating agency was on the verge of making a breakthrough in the case and granting interim bail to Kavita would hamper the investigation. Kavita's son has completed 7 out of 12 examinations. He is not alone, his father and elder brother are also with him.
