Prayagraj, 18 October (Hindustan Reporter). The Allahabad High Court has refused to release on bail three accused, Ravi Singh alias Nate, Pramod Singh and Imran, who are serving life imprisonment on charges of conspiracy and murder by shooting the village head. The court has approved conditional bail of other accused Sudhir Pathak, Shailesh Dubey and Mohammad Iqbal Hussain and said that they will cooperate in the trial.
They will have to deposit the fine amount in the court within six months of their release. The court has directed to present their appeals against the sentence for hearing in December this year.
This order has been given by the division bench of Justice Ashwani Kumar Mishra and Justice Dr. Gautam Chaudhary while hearing the petition filed on the appeals of Sudhir Pathak and five others.
It is known that on October 1, 12, a bullet was fired at the village head in Bhadohi police station area, who was declared dead in the hospital. After the police charge sheet, the sessions court convicted all the six accused of murder and conspiracy and sentenced them to life imprisonment with fine. It has been challenged in the High Court in appeal. Sandeep Kumar has lodged an FIR regarding the incident.
The court said that there are criminal history of 19 cases against Pramod, 8 cases against Imran and 3 cases against Ravi Singh. Whereas the other accused have no criminal history. They have been found involved in this case. Therefore the court approved his bail. However, the court has not stayed the punishment.
