This date will end the next day i.e. 1st September 2026, Tuesday morning at 7:41 am. According to the tradition and rules of Udaya Tithi, the main fast of Bahula Chaturthi will be observed on 31 August 2026 only.
Moonrise time on Bahula Chaturthi
During the fast of Bahula Chaturthi, seeing the moon and offering Arghya to the moon has special significance. Women observing this fast, after worshiping Ganesh in the evening, see the moon and end their fast only after offering Arghya to it. This year, moonrise is likely to occur around 8:28 pm on Bahula Chaturthi. However, there may be a slight difference in the time of moonrise according to different cities and geographical locations of the country.
