Mumbai: Bombay High Court took cognizance of the incident of sexual harassment of two nursery girls in Badlapur and reprimanded Badlapur police for delay in filing FIR in the case. The High Court said that this incident is very shocking. There should be no compromise on the safety of girls. Despite this, the police has taken the entire incident very lightly. The High Court also criticized the school administrators for not informing the police about the matter on time and said that the lethargy of the government machinery does not shake until the volcano of public anger erupts. The High Court has ordered the police to present the case diary of the entire matter.

While hearing the case, the bench of Justice Revati Mohan Dere and Justice Prithviraj Chavan clearly said that no compromise can be made on the incident of sexual abuse of girls. Dt. 12th and Dt. This incident is of 13th August. But after this the date was put on the complaint. Its entry was made on 16th August. According to the documents presented in the court, the accused was arrested the next day.

At this stage, the court said that the government system does not work unless people are angry about something.

The division bench handed over the case diary, FIR and other documents prepared by Badlapur police to the special investigation team constituted to investigate the case. It was ordered to be presented by August 27.

The judges said that they are extremely upset with the way the Badalpur police handled the entire case. This is such a serious incident of sexual abuse of three and four year old girls. The High Court asked how can the police take this lightly.

What will children do if their school is not safe? What can happen to a three-four year old girl is extremely shocking.

The High Court ordered the police to provide full support to the victims and their families. It was also asked to ensure that the victim is not targeted further.

The High Court said, in this case these girls have lodged a complaint, but many other such cases may not have been registered.

The police should have helped the families of these girls but this did not happen. First of all, the police should have filed an FIR. But, this has not been done. The school authorities are making this happen. This is done so that people hesitate to come forward to report such crimes.

The police department should take steps to sensitise its officers and staff to such incidents. The High Court also asked the SIT to give details of the steps taken in the case, including taking statements from the families of the victims.

The High Court had asked the SIT to also state in its report why the Badlapur police delayed filing the FIR and why the statement of the second victim was not recorded.

The judge said, “We are shocked to know that the Badlapur police did not take any action to record the statement of the second girl.”

It has also been observed that an attempt has been made to gather evidence in this case. We will not hesitate to take strict action against the concerned police officer.

The government should also tell what steps are being taken to ensure the safety of girls and women. There will be no compromise on this matter. The bench also said that the school authorities were aware of the incident but they remained silent and did not inform the police. The court said that not reporting a case of sexual harassment is also a crime under the POCSO Act.

Maharashtra Advocate General Birendra Saraf assured the High Court that action would be taken against the school authorities on Thursday itself. The court said that no one should be spared. You should take action against the school for not reporting the incident. Saraf also told the High Court that the statement of one victim has been recorded before the magistrate while the statement of the other girl will be taken on Thursday.

To the High Court's query as to why there was a delay, Saraf said the erring Badaun police officer had already been suspended.
