Dhamtari, September 9 (HS). The Public Works Department is repairing the damaged roads of Dhamtari city these days. The potholes on the road are being filled with debris and leveled. People have heaved a sigh of relief after the potholes have been filled. EE SK Netam of the Public Works Department said that tenders have been called in the entire district to fill the potholes on the road, and wherever the tenders are being opened, repairs are being done there.
At present, the tender for the roads of Dhamtari is open, due to which Sihawa Road, Canal Naka, Koliari Chowk Road of the city are being repaired. There are big potholes in these roads, which are being marked and filled with debris. Its cost is 80 lakh rupees. Shri Netam said that after filling the potholes, all the roads will be asphalted in October. The rainy season will end in September. After this, work will start in the month of October. The department has completed the work of filling the potholes in Ratnabandha Mujgahan Road. The work of Sihawa Road will also be completed soon in a few days. It is known that due to heavy rains in the months of July and August this year, the roads of the region have become badly damaged. The asphalt has been uprooted due to continuous rain. There are potholes at many places. Passengers were facing problems in commuting. In view of this, the department has started the work of road repair. The roads will become better again after asphalting after patchwork. Road repair work continues throughout the year by the Public Works Department.
