Babar Azam proved to be a weak player, due to which the team had to suffer

Babar Azam is counted among the best batsmen of present times. He is also compared with Virat Kohli. But even in T20, Babar Azam is criticized a lot. The main reason for his criticism in T20 is his strike rate. It is believed that Babar is not able to score runs at the expected pace in T20. This has been proved on many occasions. The latest case is Pakistan Super League where Babar Azam's slow batting was once again seen and his team Peshawar Zalmi had to suffer the consequences of this. Multan Sultans defeated Peshawar by seven wickets in the PSL qualifier match on Thursday. With this, Multan team has reached the finals.

You have to work hard to play the finals

Peshawar's dream of going to the final is not broken yet. By winning this qualifier, the team reached the Eliminator-2 match where it will face the winner of Eliminator-1 between Islamabad United and Quetta Gladiators. The first eliminator will be played on Friday. If Peshawar had won this match then they could have played the final directly but now they will have to work hard to play one more match to play the final.

The team did not get a big score

In this match, Peshawar captain Babar won the toss and decided to bat first. But his team could score only 146 runs after losing seven wickets in 20 overs. The team lost its first wicket in the form of Sam Ayub on the score of four runs in the very first over. Ayub could score only one run. Another opener Babar got the support of Mohammad Harris. But both batted slowly. Harris became the victim of Mohammad Ali after scoring 22 runs on 14 balls with a total score of 51. Babar stayed put but did not step on the accelerator, although he had plenty of chances. He was slowly moving towards his half-century. But could not be completed. Babar was four runs away from his half-century when Chris Jordan bowled him. Babar could score only 46 runs in 42 balls in five matches. Babar's wicket fell on the fourth ball of the 14th over and then Peshawar's total score was 101 runs. After his departure, the rest of the batsmen of the team kept losing wickets under the pressure of scoring runs fast.

Yasir scored a half century

For Multan, opener Yasir Khan led the team to victory by scoring a half-century. He played an innings of 54 runs in 37 balls. In this innings he hit seven fours and one six. Usman Khan scored unbeaten 36 runs with the help of three fours in 28 balls. In the end, Iftikhar Ahmed played an inning of 22 runs in eight balls in which he hit three fours and a six.
