Varanasi, August 11 (HS). On the eve of the fourth Monday of the month of Sawan, Shiva devotees have been queuing up since Sunday evening to worship Baba Vishwanath in his court. After spending the whole night in the queue, Shiva devotees will have a glimpse of Baba after Mangala Aarti in the morning.
Due to the continuous rain in the hilly areas and the rising water level of the Ganga river, devotees will not be allowed to enter the temple from Ganga Dwar-Lalita Ghat on Monday. Apart from this, the other two entry gates will also remain closed for security reasons. Shiva devotees will be allowed to enter the temple only from the remaining three entry gates. On the fourth Monday, Baba's Rudraksha Shringar will be done in the evening. According to the tradition of Sawan, Rudraksha Shringar will be done before Bhog Aarti.
Baba's tableau will be decorated with Rudraksha beads. This will later be distributed among the devotees as prasad. After Mangala Aarti, the doors of the golden sanctum sanctorum will open for general visitors at 3:45 in the morning. Vehicles will be banned on Godaulia, Maidagin, Church route after midnight. All vehicles will be diverted from Maidagin to Godaulia, Sonarpur Chauraha, Gurubagh to Ramapura, Beniyabag Tiraha, Broadway Tiraha via Sonarpur to Godaulia, Bhelupur to Ramapura Chauraha, leaving the pedestrians.
