Baba Siddiqui Case: Mumbai Police has got a big success in a high-profile firing case of Congress leader and former Mumbai MLA Baba Siddiqui. Police have informed that the main conspirator (mastermind) of the incident, Zeeshan Akhtar, has been taken into custody in Canada. Zeeshan is associated with the gang of underworld gangster Ejaz Lakdwala.

The case is related to firing outside Baba Siddiqui’s office in Bandra area of ​​Mumbai. In 2013, Siddiqui’s personal assistant (PA) Aaron Khan was targeted. At that time, the incident was stirred up and the police immediately started investigation. The police had earlier arrested three accused in this case – Rahim Ansari, Ayub Sheikh and Iqbal Sheikh – but since then Zeeshan Akhtar was absconding.

The Mumbai Crime Branch issued a ‘Red Corner Notice’ (RCN) through the International Criminal Police Organization (Interpol) for the arrest of Zeeshan. This notice is issued for international criminals that the police of a country are searched. According to the police, after taking Zeeshan into custody in Canada, the Mumbai Police is now engaged in the process of extraditing him to India. The help of the Central Government is being taken in this process.

It is said that Zeeshan Akhtar’s brother, Ashraf is also a member of Chhota Shakeel’s gang and many serious cases like attempt to murder have also been registered. He is also absconding from India. A property dispute behind this entire incident is being said to be the main reason, in which Baba Siddiqui’s name was revealed.
