Baba Ramdev apologized on misleading advertisement, SC said – this is not acceptable

Yoga guru Baba Ramdev appeared in the Supreme Court today in the misleading advertisement case. The court reprimanded him for violating the court's instructions. During this time, Yoga Guru Baba Ramdev was present in the court and he apologized unconditionally. During the hearing, the court expressed displeasure over the affidavit filed by Patanjali.

Baba Ramdev apologized

Yoga guru Ramdev and Patanjali Ayurved's managing director Acharya Balkrishna appeared in the Supreme Court on Tuesday in the misleading advertisement case. Advocate Balbir appearing on behalf of Baba Ramdev said that this will not happen in future. We apologize for the previous mistake. On that, the Supreme Court said that not only the orders of the Supreme Court but also of any court in the country should not be violated. The court did not accept Patanjali's apology. Now the further hearing of this case will be held on April 10. Baba Ramdev and Acharya Balkrishna will have to be present in the court.

The court reprimanded

The Supreme Court on Tuesday (April 02) rapped Baba Ramdev for violating its directions on misleading advertisements of Patanjali's medicinal products. During this time, Yoga Guru Baba Ramdev was present in the court and he apologized unconditionally. It is noteworthy that in this case an affidavit was filed on behalf of Patanjali, whose name is MD Balakrishnan. But Baba Ramdev also had to give an affidavit personally. Baba Ramdev's lawyer said that Ramdev wants to appear personally and apologize. The court said that the affidavit should have been given before this. He further asked whether you will write an affidavit and ask the court. The court considered this attitude unacceptable. The court raised the question that even after giving an affidavit in the court on 21 November, Patanjali gave misleading advertisement.

Hearing will be held next week

The court said that Baba Ramdev has done good work for Yoga but such advertisements cannot be given against the law. The court also said that in the affidavit filed on November 30, Patanjali falsely claimed in the court that it was following the earlier affidavit (not giving misleading advertisements). The court gave time to Baba Ramdev and Balkrishna to file a better affidavit. Now the hearing will take place again next week.
