Ujjain, July 28 (HS). On the second Monday of this Shravan-Bhadon month, Baba Mahakal will go on a city tour. Baba will appear in the form of Chandramouliswara. Lord Mahesh will sit on Gajaraj.
Collector cum Mahakal Temple Management Committee Chairman Neeraj Kumar Singh said that on Monday afternoon, Baba Mahakal will be worshipped and anointed in the Sabha Mandap situated in Kotitirth premises. After that, the palanquin will be seated in the palanquin and brought to the main gate. Here, as per tradition, the armed police force will give the Lord a guard of honour. From here, Baba will set out on a city tour to the melodious tune of the police band.
The procession will reach Ramghat via Kot Mohalla Chauraha, Gudri, Bakshi Bazaar, Kaharwadi. Behind Baba's palanquin, Man Maheshwar will be seated on Gajaraj. Baba will be welcomed by devotees by showering rose petals on the entire route. Rangoli will also be made on the route. The arrival of the Lord will be announced by the Kadabins walking in the front with a roar.
When the palanquin reaches Ram Ghat, as per tradition, Maa Shipra will be worshipped here and Baba Mahakal will be anointed with the water of Maa Shipra. From here the palanquin will again leave for the temple. The palanquin will reach the temple again via Ramanujkot, Modh ki Dharamshala, Khati ka Mandir, Satyanarayan Mandir, Dhaba Road, Tanki Chowk, Chhatri Chowk, Gopal Mandir, Patni Bazaar, Gudri, Kot Mohalla Chauraha.
