Mumbai: The new National Educational Standard (NEP) is being implemented in Mumbai University from this year. Under which many changes have been made in its various courses. The Gujarati Department of Mumbai University has been working on the development and education of language literature for the last six decades. The department is starting the BA-MA Integrated Course for five consecutive years from the current academic year 2024-25. Which will greatly benefit the students of Bachelor of Arts (BA).
Let us tell you that this course has been designed according to NEP. It has multiple entry and exit facilities. Also, under on-job training, the department will provide vocational training and bright career and job opportunities to the students.
Apart from the BA-MA integrated course for continuous undergraduate-postgraduate studies in the Gujarati department, certificate course in Gujarati language and literature and diploma course in Gujarati – language and literature and MA degree course in Gujarati language and literature (regular) and one year two credit online courses are also available for students of Gujarati language and literature and other subjects. It includes important courses like literature and journalism, dalit literature and feminism. It also has PhD courses for students from outside Mumbai and affordable girls and boys hostel facilities. Apart from this, B.K. Thakor Suvarnachandrak is also awarded to the first student at the postgraduate level.
