B.Tech student got annual salary package of ₹1.45 crore

Indian Institute of Information Technology (IIIT), one of the premier engineering institutes of the country, has set a new record in the ongoing placement drive. Amidst the global economic recession and news of layoffs in tech companies, a B.Tech student of the institute has created history by getting a huge international salary package of Rs 1.45 crore annually. The institute has revealed in its report that this year 96.65 percent of its B.Tech students have received job offers from leading multinational (MNCs) companies of the country and the world. This stellar placement record has not only infused new enthusiasm among engineering students but has also proved that if you have core technical skills and an understanding of innovation, there is no dearth of opportunities in the tech industry.

The beginning of this year’s placement season of the Indian Institute of Information Technology has been very explosive. A bright student of B.Tech Computer Science and Information Technology has been offered a package of Rs 1.45 Crore annually (₹1.45 Crore CTC) by a top American tech giant. The Director of the Institute and Placement Cell officials expressed happiness over this unprecedented achievement and said that even in the recessionary environment, our students have proved their worth at the international level on the strength of their coding abilities, data analytics and strong hold on Artificial Intelligence (AI). Many other students of the institute have also received attractive domestic and international packages ranging between Rs 50 lakh to Rs 80 lakh, creating a celebratory atmosphere in the entire campus.

The biggest and most reassuring thing about this placement drive is that the overall placement percentage of the institute has been 96.65%, which is an example for any engineering college in the current tech scenario. More than 100 companies from across the country and the world participated in the campus selection process. These included Google, Microsoft, Amazon, Meta, Samsung, TCS, and leading fintech and AI startups. The highest demand was seen from students of both Computer Science (CSE) and Electronics and Communication (ECE) branches. Companies have hired students at huge salaries for not just software development but also for high-demand roles like machine learning engineers, data scientists and cloud architects.

Officials of the institute believe that modern curriculum, project-based learning and training designed as per the needs of the industry have been the main reasons behind this record-breaking placement. The director of the institute said that the syllabus here is updated from time to time and students are given the opportunity to work on real projects from the second year onwards. Additionally, the institute’s strong alumni network and constant interaction with companies have also played an important role in creating new opportunities for students. Students have also given credit for their success to the hard work of the professors, mentors and placement cell of the institute.

This Rs 1.45 crore package and 96.65% placement record of IIIT has given a new direction to lakhs of engineering aspirants and B.Tech students across the country. In today’s time, just getting a degree is not enough, but it has become mandatory to master advanced skills like Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Full Stack Development and problem-solving abilities. This impressive figure has once again made it clear that for students who upskill themselves as per the changing demands of the industry, words like recession or lay-off become ineffective and success automatically kisses their feet.
