Dehradun, August 14 (HS). Ayushman Arogya Mandir Shamshergarh has been awarded the prestigious National Quality Assurance Standard (NQAS) certificate by the Government of India. This certificate was given under the National Quality Assurance Program run under the National Health Mission. As per the guidelines of the Government of India, Health Center Shamshergarh will also be awarded an incentive amount of Rs 1,26,000.
Mission Director of National Health Mission Swati S Bhadoria said that two member evaluators nominated by the Government of India had earlier done the evaluation under the quality assurance standards at Ayushman Arogya Mandir Shamshergarh. During the quality certification, national evaluation of services related to maternal health, infant and child health, adolescent health and family planning etc. was done at the health center.
He informed that under the quality assurance standards, continuous mentoring and support was provided from the state level to provide quality and best health services of Ayushman Arogya Mandir Shamshergarh. Continuous efforts were made for getting NQAS certificate in the health center for about 1.5 years. The health center received NQAS certificate due to the continuous efforts of the District Quality Assurance Team, Community Health Officer of the health center, ANM, Asha and related employees. Under the Quality Assurance program, the team of evaluators did a mentoring visit to strengthen 36 health units of all the districts of the state and for NQAS certification. The purpose of the mentoring visit is to strengthen the health units so that the general public can get quality facilities.
Till date, the Government of India has honored various medical units of the state with 11 NQAS certificates and 19 Labor Room Quality Improvement Initiative (LAQSHYA) certifications. In the financial year 2024-25, till date, the health units of the state have received four national certifications, including one LAQSHYA and three NQAS certificates. Two Ayushman Arogya Mandirs of the state have received NQAS certificate. To strengthen health services to provide health benefits to the general public in the state, continuous efforts are being made to give quality certificates to more and more medical units in future.
