Jammu, August 21 (HS). Ayush Integrated Medical and Veterinary Camp was organized in the remote area of Mastandhra on Wednesday. The aim of the camp was to provide essential medical and veterinary services to both the local population and their livestock to address the challenges posed by the rugged terrain and harsh weather conditions of the area.
The programme involved collaboration between Army medical personnel, civilian doctors and local health workers to ensure comprehensive care for the community. A total of 201 people comprising 61 women, 93 men and 47 children along with 116 animals from Mastarandhra and surrounding areas were given free health check-ups, vaccinations and medicines.
Apart from medical services, the camp also included a lecture focusing on family planning and child healthcare. The session aimed to educate the attendees on preventive measures against common diseases, cleanliness, sanitation and the importance of a balanced diet and good personal hygiene.
