AYUSH Department gets mobile medical unit from Red Cross Society, providing services in villages |Live Updates,Unveiling the Latest India News Trends

Jagdalpur, 22 May (Hindustan Reporter). The AYUSH Department is providing proper treatment facilities to the patients in the 30 bedded District Ayurvedic Hospital where patients are being treated in out-patient and in-patient rooms. At the same time, treatment facilities are being provided through Ayurvedic method through 43 AYUSH health wings and 26 Ayurvedic dispensaries of community health centers and primary health centers in the development blocks of the district. Besides, a positive initiative is being taken to provide Ayurveda treatment to the villagers through mobile medical units in the villages without medical access in the interior villages of the district. Due to which awareness among the common people towards getting treatment through Ayurvedic method is increasing along with the trend. This is the reason why more than 584 villagers have been treated in the last one month through mobile medical units in the interior areas of the district.

District Ayurvedic Officer Dr. Mohnish Sahu said in this regard that heart disease, diabetes, blood pressure, skin disease, gynecology and all other diseases are treated in the District Ayurvedic Hospital in the district. At present, the disease of piles (hemorrhoids) is being treated using Kshar Sutra method using Ayurvedic method. Attention is being given to providing Ayurveda medical facilities in the rural areas of the district. In this sequence, as a result of the meaningful efforts of Collector Vijay Dayaram, a medical mobile unit has been provided to the AYUSH department by the Red Cross Society.

Through mobile medical units, villagers are being benefited by organizing Ayurvedic medical camps every week in the interior villages of every development block. In the mobile medical unit, health check-up and treatment services are being provided by two Ayurvedic medical officers, a pharmacist and a dispensary attendant. During this period, most of the rural women are benefiting from the services provided by women doctors especially in rural areas. Along with provision of essential medicines, medical equipment is also available in the mobile medical unit.

Dr. JR Netam, Nodal Officer of AYUSH Department, says that in remote rural areas, villagers are found suffering from skin diseases, abdominal diseases, gynecological diseases, rheumatic diseases including diabetes and heart diseases. These victims are being given necessary health related advice including treatment after health check-up. In this direction, maintaining cleanliness near the house, not allowing water to accumulate in coolers, old tyres, pots etc. in the house, destroying the sources where mosquitoes breed, as well as compulsory use of mosquito nets while sleeping, hand pumps etc. Or on healthy lifestyle by giving advice on using pure drinking water and consuming hot and fresh food and getting health checkup and treatment done at the nearest AYUSH health center or dispensary if suffering from diseases, including proper disposal of dirty water stored near the solar dual pump. Efforts are being made to create public awareness.
