Ayurveda contributes to global health through innovation: Dr. GS Tomar

Prayagraj, 26 October (Hindustan Reporter). The ninth Ayurveda Day celebration was organized under the joint aegis of World Ayurveda Mission and Arogya Bharti, courtesy of Zandu Emami Group. President of World Ayurveda Mission and National Executive Member of Arogya Bharti, Dr. GS Tomar said that Lord Dhanvantari is established as the God of Health.

As per the instructions of the Ministry of AYUSH, Government of India, the theme of this year's ninth National Ayurveda Day has been set as “Ayurveda Innovation for Global Health”. In view of the unprecedented popularity gained during Corona, Ayurveda has today come out of the walls of India and has become the center of global attraction. This is why we have to present our genre in line with global aspirations through innovation. Ayurveda has an important contribution in areas like diseases and mental health. Therefore, we have to establish innovations in areas like diet, lifestyle, entrepreneurship, school health, workplace health. So that Ayurveda can live up to global aspirations.

In the ceremony, Dr. Lalit Kumar Tripathi, Director of Central Sanskrit University Ganga Nath Jha Campus, described Lord Dhanvantari as the incarnation of Vishnu, who appeared with nectar and medicine from the churning of the ocean. Said that Ayurveda, originating from the Vedas, is an eternal and oldest method. This not only protects health but is also a lifesaver for chronic and incurable diseases.

Chief Medical Officer Dr. Ashu Pandey described Dhanvantari as the god of health and described Ayurveda as effective and safe in many serious diseases. In view of the usefulness of Ayurveda, ADM Magh Mela Vivek Chaturvedi underlined its important role in the upcoming Mahakumbh. He stressed the need for innovation and evidence based system in Ayurveda. Dr. Raj Kishore Aggarwal said that all genres have their own characteristics and limitations. Therefore, we should mutually respect doctors of all disciplines. Nagendra Jaiswal, Kashi Province Vice President of Arogya Bharti, said that Arogya Bharti was established in Kochi on the day of Dhanvantari Jayanti in 2002. Since then, it has been continuously working towards health protection from Kashmir to Kanyakumari through its various projects.

Dr. Shanti Choudhary appreciated the efforts of Arogya Bharti in the field of women's health and abortion. Organization Secretary of Arogya Bharti Kashi Province, Dr. Ajay Mishra gave information about various projects of Arogya Bharti. Dr. VN Tripathi and Regional Ayurveda and Unani Officer Dr. Manoj Kumar Singh, Dr. Prakash Khaitan, Dr. RK Singh, Dr. Ashish Tripathi, Dr. Bharat Nayak, Dr. MD Dubey, Dr. Vishnu Bali Mishra, Dr. Anita Singh, Dr. Rajendra were present in the program. About 70 doctors from Prayagraj and Pratapgarh including Srivastava, Dr. Ashish Maurya, Anil Marwah, Rajendra Singh, Anurag Asthana participated. In the end, Manish Srivastava, DGM of Jhandu Group, presented the vote of thanks. Akhilesh Mishra and Manish Tripathi of Jhandu Group provided support on this occasion.
