Ayodhya, 6 September (HS). After the installation of Lord Ramlala in the famous Ramjanmabhoomi temple of Ayodhya, lakhs of devotees are reaching Ayodhya every day. In such a situation, to provide transport facilities to the devotees, the government of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has operated hundreds of buses. But now the Yogi government has taken the initiative to provide the facility of electric based AC buses to the pilgrims coming from the country and abroad. In its first phase, it has been decided to run 20 AC buses from Ayodhya to various cities.
AC buses will be primarily operated in these cities
The Yogi government intends to connect Ayodhya to other religious places in the state so that the journey of the devotees coming here can be made easy. For this, the government has decided to run AC buses to cities and religious places located at a distance of 200 to 250 km from Ayodhya. For this, 20 AC buses will be operated in the first phase. These buses will be operated between Ayodhya and Prayagraj, Sultanpur, Ambedkar Nagar, Basti, Amethi, Varanasi, Lucknow, Gonda and Barabanki. This will increase connectivity between these cities.
AC buses will be equipped with many facilities
The 20 AC buses starting soon from Ayodhya will be equipped with many facilities. More such buses are expected to be operated from Ayodhya during the Maha Kumbh Mela. The operation of electric buses will give a boost to clean energy-based transport, as well as reduce air pollution caused by the operation of biofuel vehicles in road transport. Having air-conditioned buses will facilitate pilgrims to perform pilgrimage even in adverse weather. Under this project, the workforce of the clean-energy-based public transport department in Ayodhya city will also be expanded.
