Awareness is necessary to control the increasing population

East Champaran, May 27 (HS). On the instructions of the District Health Committee, a one-day training-cum-orientation program on family welfare program was organized at Chakia Sub-Divisional Hospital.

During this, important information regarding family planning was given to ANM GNM, staff nurse and CHO. Deputy Superintendent Dr. Chandan Kumar, BCM Dharmendra Kumar, family planning counselor Sudhir Kumar, Sanjeev Kumar Pandey representative PSI India and Nikita Piramal Health were present in the program.

Amit Kumar, District Representative PSI India trained the health workers. On the occasion, Amit Kumar said that in this orientation, all the health workers were explained in detail about increasing the knowledge and use of the permanent and temporary means of family planning available. Unwanted pregnancies in women can be prevented.

During the orientation training, health sub-center wise data was presented on female sterilization, PPI UCD, injection Antara and institutional delivery. DCM Nandan Jha said that to control the increasing population of the district, Population Control Fortnight is organized as per the government's instructions to make people aware. In which female sterilization and male sterilization are done. He told that in the district, in the Primary and Community Health Centers, the health workers run mikeing and intensive publicity campaign from Sarathi Rath. Under Population Stability Fortnight, sterilization of women and Copper T is inserted in normal women.

MPA Antara injection, contraceptive pills, Mala N, Chhaya pill, condoms are made available at the health centre. He said that the health workers should meet eligible couples and make them aware about adopting permanent and temporary methods of family planning. DCM Nandan Jha said that free safe delivery is provided in government hospitals. Along with this financial assistance is also given, which everyone should avail. An incentive amount of Rs. 3000 is provided to the male beneficiary for sterilization and Rs. 2000 is provided to the beneficiary for female sterilization.
