Disaster Management Officer Nandan Singh Rajwar said that Sector Officer Kedarnath told that an avalanche occurred on the hill above Gandhi Lake on Sunday morning. However, no damage has been caused by this avalanche. He said that such avalanches keep happening on this hill. Such incidents happen when there is heavy snowfall here. There is no damage caused by this.
Environmentalist Jagat Singh Jangli called this incident a matter of concern. He said that there is a need to think about such incidents happening continuously in the Himalayan region.
