Uproar in Jadeja’s press conference
The Indian team has started practicing for the Melbourne Test. The Indian team had its first practice session at MCG on 21 December (Saturday). Ravindra Jadeja addressed the media during the practice session. During the press conference (PC), Jadeja answered the questions in Hindi only. At the end of the press conference, Australian journalists wanted to ask Jadeja questions in English, but Jadeja decided to leave saying that he had to catch the bus.
Due to lack of time, Jadeja avoided answering.
Even some Indian journalists could not ask questions due to lack of time. However, the Australian media seemed quite angry with Jadeja. Indian team media manager Maulin Parikh tried to explain to them that the PC was only for the Indian media, but the Australian media could not digest this.
Australian journalists created ruckus
Some Australian journalists were seen getting angry at Team India’s media manager Maulin Parikh. Australian journalists also misbehaved with the media manager of the Indian team which was inappropriate. Even during the press conference of Australian players, many Indian journalists do not get a chance to ask questions due to lack of time. But Indian journalists never argued or misbehaved.
Kohli had an argument with a female journalist
He is known in the Australian media as his team’s 12th man. Especially when they face a strong team like India, which has defeated the host team in the last two Test series at home. Be it ‘Monkeygate’ in 2008 or the recent incident related to Virat Kohli. Let us tell you that after reaching Melbourne, Virat Kohli had an argument with an Australian female TV journalist. He was reportedly angry with the cameras being turned on his family. Virat requested the female journalist to run his pictures but remove the pictures of his family. But the journalist did not listen to Kohli.
Kohli had an argument with this female journalist regarding this matter. According to Australian law, there is no restriction on taking video or photo of any celebrity in any public place and the series is tied at 1-1 and is getting tougher by the day. It will be interesting to see what turn the Border-Gavaskar Trophy (BGT) takes in the fourth Test.
