Australia, led by Pat Cummins, announced its playing eleven ahead of the second Test of the series against India in Adelaide from Friday. Changes have been made in Australia’s team for the day-night pink ball test match. Scott Boland has been included in Australia’s final squad in place of Josh Hazlewood who was injured during the Perth Test. After about 18 months, Boland will play Test cricket for Australia. Additionally, Cummins confirmed that Mitchell Marsh will bowl in the Adelaide Test.
Changes in Australia playing 11:
Boland last played Test cricket for Australia in the Ashes series last year. After this he did not get a chance to play. Due to the injury of Josh Hazlewood, he got a chance in the playing eleven. Apart from this, Mitchell Marsh could not bowl in the second innings of the first Test due to stiffness in his back. Pat confirmed that Marsh will remain in the team and will also bowl in the second Test match.
Expressing confidence in Boland’s ability, Cummins said that Boland was fully prepared to bowl last summer but he did not get the chance. It has been a long time since he played Test cricket. He had performed well for the Prime Minister’s XI in Canberra a few days ago.
