Australia: Indian student stabbed to death in Australia, two accused arrested

A case of murder of a 22 year old Indian student by beating him with a paddle has come to light in Melbourne city of Australia. Police have arrested two brothers from Karnal, Haryana in the murder case and are taking further action.

Victoria Police arrested both the accused brothers after the search operation and started legal action against them. Both accused were taken to Victoria Court for trial. These two accused brothers will be taken to another place for investigation.

Navjeet Sandhu, 22, and Shravan Kumar, 30, were injured when brothers tried to flee a house in Melbourne's south-east. Sandhu, originally from Gagsi village of Karnal, was murdered two days ago by being stabbed in the chest. According to his uncle, who lives in Karnal, Sandhu was attacked with a paddle when he walked into the middle of an internal fight among Indian students over the rent issue. The deceased had gone to Australia last November 2022 on a study visa. He was studying for an M.Tech degree in Melbourne.

He was the only brother of two sisters

According to the information, the accused was living in Melbourne. Sandhu's family believes that the attack was the result of a quarrel their son had with someone they knew. Navjit Singh Sandhu was from an ordinary farmer family of India and was a promising young man living and studying in Melbourne. And he fell and died in the middle of the fight. The family was devastated by this tragic incident. Deceased Navjeet Singh Sandhu was the only son of his parents and brother of two sisters.
