Ghaziabad, May 18 (Hindustan Reporter) Ghaziabad Development Authority Vice Chairman Atul Vats took a review meeting of the work of the Law Section on Saturday. In the meeting, he instructed the concerned officials that GDA should strongly advocate its case in the cases pending in the courts. Any negligence will not be tolerated. He said that four more clerks have been deployed in the Law Section to carry out the work effectively. Besides, two assistant engineers have also been entrusted with the responsibility.

GDA Vice President will review law related work every 15 days and Secretary every week.

In the meeting, the Vice President reviewed the sealing cases pending at the District Court level, cases pending in the High Court, cases pending in the Supreme Court, cases pending in the Uttar Pradesh Real Estate Regulatory Authority (RERA). Along with this, computer feeding work of the cases at the authority level and review of the cases pending in SC and ST, District Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission and National Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission were also done.

GDA Vice President directed that all the pending cases related to all the courts should be defended effectively through advocates. The review found that a portal was created for regular review of cases, but due to non-use, it had become obsolete. Instructions were given to update the data by feeding it.

He said that if there is an order contrary to the authority in any case, then GDA advocates will provide clear legal advice for further action. He said that due to lack of effective lobbying and review, there has been an unexpected increase in the promises of the authority. It is necessary that important issues related to the authority should be resolved on priority basis by timely coordinating with counter in-charges and personally informing higher officials.

In future, it will be the responsibility of the Assistant In-charge of Law to discuss the facts of the case with the advocate related to his court and inform the advocate a week in advance, and also challenge him on the maintainability of the newly filed petitions. Apart from this, the advocates and clerks of the authority were directed to update the data of all the cases pending in all the local courts.

GDA Secretary Rajesh Kumar Singh, Special Executive Gunja Singh, Kanika Singh, Finance Controller AK Bajpai, Assistant Incharge Law Rudresh Shukla were present in the meeting.
