Cylinder found on railway track: The security of Indian Railways is being compromised and conspiracies to derail trains are coming to light every day. Once again a similar incident has come to light from Kanpur, UP.
Fire extinguishing cylinders have been found on the Delhi-Howrah route and then on the railway track in Kanpur. Fortunately, a major accident was averted due to the alertness of the pilot and timely application of emergency brakes.
According to the information, the driver of ES-6 goods train going from Etawah to Kanpur saw a fire cylinder lying on the railway track between pillar number 1070/18 near the down platform of Ambiyapur station. The driver informed Station Master Ambiapur Naushad Alam through walkie talkie.
As soon as the information was received, there was an atmosphere of chaos all around. Station Master Ambiyapur immediately informed senior officials as well as GRP Jhinjhak. On this, GRP outpost in-charge Jhinjhak Arpit Tiwari, RPF station in-charge Rajneesh Rai and RPF outpost in-charge Rura Khajan Singh reached the spot and started investigation by taking possession of the cylinder lying on the track.
GRP outpost in-charge Jhinjhak said that there is a possibility that the cylinder might have fallen from the train, but it is possible that it could also be a part of some conspiracy.
Earlier too, a similar incident had come to light in Kanpur, when a fire extinguisher cylinder was found on the next track of Pushpak Express. This is the second consecutive time that such suspicious activity has been observed on the railway tracks. Such incidents have increased the concern of Railways and questions have been raised on the security arrangements.
