Ranchi, July 13 (HS). The Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) has arrested four criminals of the notorious gangster Aman Saw gang lodged in Giridih jail. The arrested criminals include Shiv Shankar Kumar Singh, Roshan Kumar Singh, resident of Pandra, Ranchi, Avinash Kumar, resident of Patratu, Ramgarh and Ajay Kumar Singh, resident of Sahibganj.
ATS SP Rishabh Jha told in a press conference on Saturday that the case of threatening Giridih jail superintendent Himani Priya and threatening her family came to light on July 5. Taking action in the case, ATS formed a team under the leadership of DSP Sanjay Kumar and Nitin Khandelwal. During the investigation, it was found that after threatening in the jail, Aman had ordered his gang members to attack the family of Giridih jail superintendent Himani. Within two to three days, the criminals of Aman gang were going to attack the jail superintendent's house in Deoghar, but before that, the Jharkhand ATS team arrested those four criminals of Aman gang on the input received from the technical cell.
According to SP, during interrogation Avinash Kumar told that he is an active member of Aman Sahu gang. He works as per the instructions of Mayank Singh and Chandan Sahu (currently imprisoned in Ranchi jail). Instructions have been given through Mayank Singh that the gang leader Aman Sahu is not being provided facilities in Giridih jail. Even after repeatedly threatening the jail superintendent, no facilities have been provided. Therefore, you people have to spread terror and panic by firing firearms on the family members of the jail superintendent who live in Devghar so that the gang leader Aman Sahu starts getting facilities in the jail.
This work will help in providing jail facilities to the criminals of Aman Sahu gang in all the districts of the state. Along with this, it will also help in spreading terror and panic in the society in the name of this gang so that in future it will help in extorting money from anyone and doing other illegal activities. SP told that on interrogation, Roshan also repeated the statement of Avinash Kumar. Shivshankar Kumar Singh and Ajay Kumar Thakur involved in this crime were also arrested. These people also admitted the attack during interrogation.
The raiding team comprised police inspectors Luv Kumar Singh, Anil Tiwari, Uday Kumar Gupta, Bablu Kumar, sub-inspector of police Vishal Kumar Pandey, Abhay Kumar, Nitesh Kumar Thakur, Roshan Bara, Ravi Kumar, Vishwajeet Kumar, Ankit Kumar, Sameer Bhagat and Manoranjan Oraon and armed forces.
