Mumbai: Prime Minister Narendra Modi has said that the responsibility of providing social justice to the oppressed and downtrodden backward sections of the society is atonement for the sins committed by our ancestors. Rejecting the opposition's allegation that the BJP government wants to end reservation, he said, “Look at my record in the last years, I have never moved forward in the direction of ending reservation, nor am I going to do so.” While campaigning in Maharashtra, Prime Minister Modi said that there has been a huge change in India's approach to dealing with terrorism in the last ten years compared to the Congress rule. Addressing an election rally in Latur, Maharashtra, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said, now we do not send any dossier on terrorism but instead enter the houses of terrorists and kill them.
Addressing an election rally in Solapur, Maharashtra, the Prime Minister said that if Baba Saheb Ambedkar was alive, he too would not have removed reservation now. He expressed his commitment to maintain the policy of reservation for all the underprivileged, including SC, ST and OBC.
In Satara also, the Prime Minister assured that like Karnataka, the Congress's policy of giving reservation on religious basis in the entire country will not be allowed to succeed.
Citing the schemes launched by the NDA government for the upliftment of Litos and other backward castes, the Prime Minister claimed that more than 25 crore people have come out of the poverty line in the last one year. The Prime Minister expressed hope that if the conditions are good then the results of the schemes will also be positive.
The Prime Minister said in Latur that when the Congress government was in power, there were daily news that the government had sent a dossier to Pakistan regarding terrorist activities. Some friends of the media were also seen welcoming such a dossier. But, now BJP does not send such dossiers. Today India kills terrorists by entering their homes.
He also claimed that India Organization parties have prepared a formula to change the Prime Minister every year. He questioned whether good governance can be expected from this way of running the government.
Some people are also going to make installments for the post of Prime Minister. They have to change the Prime Minister every year. He said that when I pronounce Ek Bharat-Shreshtha Bharat, the crown prince of Congress gets fever.
