Ranchi, 15 October (HS). The Central Election Commission announced the dates for Jharkhand Assembly elections on Tuesday. Chief Election Commissioner Rajiv Kumar told in the press conference that elections will be held in two phases in Jharkhand. The first phase will be held on 13 November and the second on 20 November. Elections will be held on 43 assembly seats in the first phase and 38 assembly seats in the second phase. Counting of votes will take place on November 23.

Koderma, Barkatha, Barhi, Barkagaon, Hazaribagh, Simaria, Chatra, Baharagora, Ghatshila, Potka, Jugsalai, Jamshedpur East, Jamshedpur West, Ichagarh, Seraikela, Chaibasa, Mazgaon, Jagannathpur, Manoharpur, Chakradharpur, Kharsanwa, Tamar, Torpa, Khunti, Ranchi, Hatia, Kanke, Mandar, Sisai, Gumla, Vishunpur, Simdega, Kolebira, Lohardaga, Manika, Latehar, Panki, Daltenganj, Vishrampur, Chhatarpur, Hussainabad, Garhwa, Bhavnathpur.

Elections will be held on total 81 seats
Elections will be held for 81 assembly seats in Jharkhand. It has 44 general, 28 ST and 9 SC seats. 2.6 crore voters will exercise their franchise in the Jharkhand Assembly elections. There are 1.29 crore female and 1.31 crore male voters. The number of first-time voters is 11.84 lakh. 29562 polling stations will be built in 20281 areas in Jharkhand. There will be 5042 polling stations in urban areas and 24520 polling stations in rural areas.
