Guwahati, September 19 (HS). Assam Police today sent back four illegal intruders to Bangladesh after arresting them. Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma gave this information in a post on social media Facebook.
The Chief Minister said that Assam Police succeeded in detaining 4 illegal Bangladeshi citizens at Karimganj International Border. They have been identified as Ramida Begum, Abdul Ilahi, Morijana Begum and Abdul Sukkur.
After ascertaining the identity of the illegal immigrants, Assam Police successfully completed legal action against the four and handed them over to the concerned agencies across the border in Bangladesh.
The Chief Minister has said that Assam Police is fully aware of this matter so that no Bangladeshi citizen can enter our country. Keeping a strict vigil on the India-Bangladesh border, Assam Police is keeping vigil in the border area in Karimganj to prevent any infiltration. The Chief Minister has praised the work of Assam Police.
