Asked to take inspiration from India's greatest female personalities like Kalpana Chawla, Mary Kom

Jammu, 12 October (Hindustan Reporter). Recently, a session on women empowerment was organized for the students of Model Academy Sagara, Poonch. The objective of this session was to encourage self-confidence, education and collective strength among women. 54 girl students and 8 teachers participated in the program. During the session, the students were introduced to some of India's most distinguished women including Kalpana Chawla, Sunita Williams, Mithali Raj, Indira Gandhi, Mary Kom, Kiran Bedi, Arundhati Roy and Dr. Tessie Thomas, among others. These influential personalities have made extraordinary contributions in their respective fields and will be a source of inspiration for the generations to come.

As part of the programme, girl students were invited on stage to share their life ambitions. The session also focused on promoting education and financial independence and highlighted these as important elements in the empowerment journey. Key topics like women's well-being, gender equality, opportunities for self-development and the role of empowered women as the foundation of the nation were deeply discussed by the students.

At the conclusion of the program both students and teachers expressed their heartfelt gratitude to the Indian Army for organizing such an enlightening dialogue. He appreciated the Army's continued support in guiding and inspiring the youth towards a brighter future. On this occasion, the headmaster of the school also encouraged the students.
