Kannauj, July 25 (HS). It is the priority of the state government to take the public welfare schemes of the government to the last rung of the society. State Minister for Social Welfare (Independent Charge) Asim Arun said this during a review meeting held in the Collectorate auditorium regarding ration distribution. He said on Thursday that if the ration distribution is done with complete transparency, there will be no problem anywhere. More and more citizens should join this campaign and take advantage of the government's ration distribution scheme in a transparent manner. Representatives of marketing companies and officials of the concerned department were present in the meeting along with the ration dealers.

Minister Asim Arun said that 100% card holders should get ration. Even a small amount of short weighing in the ration meant for the poor will not be tolerated. He said that 100% ration should be given to card holders through e-PoS machine. He talked about cancelling the quota on complaints of short weighing and taking action against the responsible persons of the supply department. He said that every citizen should be aware of his rights. If any ration dealer is giving less or bad ration, then immediately call on Kannauj Command Center number 1077 and register a complaint. Warning the ration distributors, representatives of marketing companies and officials of the supply department present in the meeting, he said that short weighing will not be tolerated at any cost. Awareness campaigns should also be run from time to time to make people aware of information related to ration. The minister learned about the problems faced by the ration dealers from lifting from the warehouse to distribution and directed the concerned officials to resolve them.

Care should be taken for the purity of ration

Minister Asim Arun said in the meeting that along with the right quantity, the quality of ration should also be taken care of. The government is providing pure and nutritious ration. Officials should ensure that the ration card holders are getting the same quality ration. Complaints of wet and pebbled ration have been received from some places. Officials should visit such shops and check the quality of ration. Action should be taken immediately on the information of irregularities in the godown or shop. He said that on the instructions of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, the government is providing ration to the needy in proportion to their need across the state. A campaign is being run in the district to ensure that everyone gets quality ration in the right quantity, in which everyone from the ration dealer to the citizens are giving their full cooperation.

The District Magistrate said that this campaign has been started with a very noble purpose. If we work with transparency, there will be no problem anywhere. He said that there were some complaints of transporters, they have also been resolved and the deficiencies in the quantity of ration card holders are being removed. The ration for the month of July has been distributed and now the ration for August is to be distributed. After the meeting, the minister gifted two mango trees each to the representatives of the ration dealers and marketing companies. Party District President Veer Singh Bhadoria, District Supply Officer etc. were present in the meeting.
