Ashoknagar: Wife used to talk on phone, husband cut off his hand and took her away, police is searching

Ashoknagar, 11 April (HS). Cases of brutality against women are continuously increasing in the district. A heart-wrenching case has come to light where a woman was brutally taken away by her husband at night by cutting off her hand. This heinous incident took place on the night of Wednesday-Thursday.

According to the information, Mithlesh (30), wife of Kamal Singh, resident of Barkhedi in the city, was sleeping in her house. At 2 o'clock in the night, her husband Kamal Singh cut off one of his wife's hands with an ax while she was sleeping. Seeing his bleeding wife and children screaming, he left his wife in pain and ran away with the cut hand. This barbaric incident took place. The woman's hand was cut and her leg was also injured.

The woman is undergoing treatment in the district hospital.

It was told that the accused Kamal Singh works as a house construction mechanic. It was told in the information that there used to be disagreements between husband and wife. This kind of discord used to happen between the two while talking on the phone. The accused husband did not want his wife to talk to anyone on the phone. The dispute over this matter escalated to such a level that the husband became so ferocious that he cut off his wife's hand and took her away. It should also be mentioned here that the victim is already disabled in one hand. Now she has become disabled in both her hands after her husband chopped off her other hand.

The victim was married to Kamal Singh 16 years ago. Due to which he has two boys and two girls, the eldest boy is 11 years old.

She told that her husband had earlier reported her missing due to differences with her and she used to have disputes with her husband every day.

Regarding the incident, TI Dehat RPS Chauhan says that a case has been registered against the accused Kamal Singh and the accused is being actively searched.

Last Monday too, a case of brutality against a woman came to light. Where a married woman was badly beaten by her lover named Javed for not changing the name of her child to Armaan.

There are many organizations of women social workers in the city. Who are visible and publicize their other social activities. But here perhaps they are not interested in such incidents of brutality against women, such incidents do not come to their notice.
