When this shop opened on Monday morning, the women living nearby sat in protest outside the shop. They protested against the opening of the shop here even today.
In fact, the residents of the area have been protesting for two days to remove the liquor shop opened on Sangaria bypass. On Sunday also, they protested demanding the closure of the shop. Many women also participated in the protest. At that time, the officials had assured to remove this shop, but this morning the shop was opened again. Angered by this, the women living nearby once again sat on a dharna outside the shop.
The protesting women said that due to opening of the liquor shop here, anti-social elements will gather and due to this it will become difficult for women to move around at night. In such a situation, the liquor shop should be shifted to some other place.
The residents of the area insisted on continuing the protest until the liquor shop is not closed. Sarpanch Tejaram Chaudhary said that there is a school near the place where the liquor shop has been opened while there are many colonies on the other side. In such a situation, there is anger among the local people that there should not be a liquor shop here, because school students will also pass by here during the day.
