After taking oath, PM Modi has taken the first decision for the farmers today. He has released the first installment of Kisan Samman Nidhi. He announced the 17th installment of Kisan Samman Nidhi. This decision will benefit 9.30 crore farmers of the country. Today PM Modi has announced a help of Rs 20 thousand crore. It is worth noting that the first meeting of the Union Cabinet will also be held this evening.

What did PM Modi say at the time of signing?

After signing the file, PM Modi said that he is committed to the welfare of farmers. We want to work as much as possible for the welfare of farmers. Our government is continuously working on this and will continue to do so.

What is the Kisan Samman Nidhi Scheme?

Farmers are benefited every year through the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana. This scheme was started by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on 24 February 2019. According to this scheme, eligible farmer brothers are given financial assistance of Rs 6,000 per year. PM Kisan Yojana funds are distributed in three equal installments of Rs 2,000. Through the scheme, money is sent to the farmers' account through DBT. Farmers are getting this assistance under the PM Kisan Yojana till now. Now after becoming PM for the third time, the first thing Narendra Modi has done is to sign the file of the 17th Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana installment. This will benefit the farmers.
