Water crisis in Delhi and its solution
Water scarcity has always been a major problem in the national capital. The situation of acute water shortage becomes more serious with the heat wave in Delhi during summer.
- In June 2023: The Aam Aadmi Party government had accused Haryana of stopping the water supply.
- In October 2023: Due to increasing pollution in Yamuna river, water supply was disrupted in many areas including Lutyens’ Delhi.
In view of this shortage of water, Kejriwal government has now made 24-hour availability of water its priority.
