Arvind Kejriwal: The Supreme Court will on Monday hear Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal's plea seeking stay on summons issued to him in a criminal defamation case for retweeting an allegedly defamatory video circulated by YouTuber Dhruv Rathi in May 2018. The High Court order has been challenged.
A bench of Justice Sanjiv Khanna and Justice Dipankar Dutta is likely to hear the case, in which Arvind Kejriwal has admitted that he had made a mistake by retweeting an allegedly objectionable video circulated by YouTuber Rathi related to the BJP IT cell. On March 11, the Supreme Court had asked Arvind Kejriwal whether he wanted to apologize to the prosecutor in this case.

CM Kejriwal admitted his mistake – On February 26, the Supreme Court, without issuing notice on Arvind Kejriwal's petition challenging the High Court order, asked the prosecutor whether he wanted to close the case. Because, the petitioner admitted, it was a mistake. Senior advocate Abhishek Singhvi, appearing for Arvind Kejriwal, said, I would only say that I made a mistake by retweeting.
