Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has got a big relief from the Supreme Court. The Supreme Court has also granted bail to Kejriwal in the CBI case in the alleged liquor scam case. He has been granted bail on a bond of Rs 10 lakh. He had already got bail in the ED case. Now the Supreme Court has also granted him bail in the CBI case. Due to which his way out of jail has now been cleared.
However, while granting bail, the Supreme Court has also imposed some conditions. Some conditions will be applicable on the bail, which were imposed while granting bail in the ED case. After coming out of jail, Kejriwal will not be able to sign any file. Along with this, he will also be barred from going to the office. Not only this, he will not be able to make any statement or comment in this case.
The Supreme Court has put some conditions in front of Kejriwal for bail. It says that he will not be able to go to the Chief Minister's Office or the Secretariat. He will not be able to sign any government file. He will not make any public statement or comment about his case. He cannot talk to any witness in any way. He will not have access to any official file related to this case. If needed, he will appear in the trial court and cooperate in the investigation.
Let us tell you that the Supreme Court had reserved its decision on Kejriwal's bail plea on September 5. The bench of Justice Suryakant and Justice Ujjwal Bhuiyan reserved its decision after hearing the arguments of both the sides. Let us tell you that Arvind Kejriwal was arrested on March 21 in the alleged liquor scam case. Due to the Lok Sabha elections, the Supreme Court granted him bail on May 10. After this, Kejriwal surrendered on June 2. Both ED and CBI are investigating this case. Kejriwal got bail from the Supreme Court in the ED case on July 12. Now he has also got bail in the CBI case.
