Arvind Kejriwal got bail on the basis of conditions, know what was the argument given in SC?

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has got interim bail from the Supreme Court. The Supreme Court has ordered to release him on interim bail till June 1. Kejriwal was arrested by ED on March 21 in the alleged liquor scam. Information is being received from sources that Kejriwal will come out of jail tonight at 7 to 8 pm.

The Supreme Court has said in its order that the Chief Minister of Delhi will not hold the post of CM after being released on interim bail. Along with this, he will also not go to the Secretariat. He will not even sign any file without the approval of the Lieutenant Governor. Apart from this, he will not give any statement anywhere regarding his role in the Delhi liquor scam case and will not contact any witness.

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has got a big relief from the Supreme Court. The Supreme Court has given its decision to release him on interim bail. Arvind Kejriwal is currently lodged in Tihar Jail. The Supreme Court has ordered the release of Arvind Kejriwal on interim bail till June 1. However, his lawyer requested for release till June 4, which was rejected by the court.

Notice of no opinion on the decision

While granting interim bail, the Supreme Court has made it clear that no opinion should be formed on its decision. This goes beyond the merits of the PMLA case. Apart from this, the Supreme Court has ordered Kejriwal to pay a personal bond of Rs 50 thousand. Kejriwal will be released from Tihar Jail after receiving the copy of the Supreme Court order. According to the court order, Chief Minister Kejriwal will have to surrender on June 2. However, Kejriwal can campaign for the Lok Sabha elections.

When will Kejriwal be released?

  • After getting interim bail from the Supreme Court, Kejriwal will have to wait for some time to come out of Tihar.
  • The written order of the Supreme Court will now be sent to Delhi's Rouse Avenue Court. Bail conditions will be set at Rouse Avenue Court and a surety bond must be paid.
  • After this, the trial court will prepare the release order and send it to Tihar Jail administration. Kejriwal will be able to come out of jail only after getting the release order.
  • Kejriwal's lawyer said that all the release orders received every day are disposed of in about an hour.

How long will Kejriwal stay out?
