Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has not got any relief from the Supreme Court. Hearing Kejriwal's bail plea on Wednesday, the court refused to grant him interim bail. Kejriwal's senior lawyer Abhishek Manu Singhvi, who appeared in the court, appealed for interim bail citing health reasons. On this, the court said that we cannot grant any interim bail.

Supreme Court rejects interim relief

In fact, Arvind Kejriwal has approached the Supreme Court for bail in the case filed against him by the CBI in the Delhi liquor scam case. A bench of Justice Suryakant and Justice Ujjwal Bhuiyan has issued a notice to the CBI and sought a reply. The court said that the next hearing on this case will be held on August 23.

Let us tell you that on July 12, the Supreme Court had granted interim bail to Arvind Kejriwal in the money laundering case related to the liquor scam. Today's case is related to the arrest by the CBI. Kejriwal was arrested by the CBI on June 26 on charges of corruption in the liquor scam case.

Supreme Court rejects interim relief

Let us tell you that while granting bail in the ED case, Justice Sanjeev Khanna had said that Kejriwal has been in jail for 90 days. Therefore, he is directed to be released. We know that he is an elected leader and he has to decide whether he wants to remain the Chief Minister or not. Justice Khanna had said that he is transferring this case to a larger bench.
