Arrival of wheat increased in Kaithal mandis, jam situation due to lack of lifting

Kaithal, 18 April (Hindustan Reporter) After wheat harvesting started in full swing on Saturday, the arrival of wheat in the grain markets of Kaithal city is continuously increasing. Due to lack of offtake, there is a situation of congestion in the markets. Due to which both farmers and commission agents are facing problems. Despite this, the arrival of wheat in the markets is continuously increasing. Due to lack of space, farmers and traders are now forced to dump wheat in the middle of the road. On the other hand, the Market Committee is also continuously taking action against dumping of wheat on the way.

So far, the Market Committee has given notice to 17 commission agents in both the markets of the city. If these brokers do not pick up the wheat midway soon, they will also be fined. Sohan Dhull, head of Additional Grain Market Association, said that people are troubled by the electricity problem in the grain market. Market Committee Secretary Basau Ram said that the arrival of wheat in the markets is in full swing. But lifting is also being done continuously. Wheat was being dumped midway in the market by some commission agents. So far, notices have been given to 17 commission agents regarding this. If this commission agent still does not agree, he will be fined.

DC visited the grain market and took stock of the procurement and lifting operations.

DC Prashant Panwar visited Guhla grain market on Friday and took stock of the wheat procurement and lifting process. On this occasion, he interacted with farmers and commission agents and learned about their problems. He asked the commission agents to give their full cooperation in the wheat procurement process. No farmer will be allowed to face any problem. If there is any kind of problem then immediately inform the SDM and Market Committee office. Their problems will be resolved on the basis of priorities. He inspected the HAFED warehouse during the visit and took complete feedback. On this occasion, SDM Krishna Kumar, DFSC Nishant Rathi, Market Committee Secretary Satbir Ravish and officers and employees of the concerned procurement agencies were present.
