Arrangements made for passengers of New Delhi-Varanasi Vande Bharat train halted due to technical fault | News India


Prayagraj, 09 September (HS). On Monday, after train number 22436 New Delhi-Varanasi Vande Bharat Express passed Bharthana station at 09:01, a technical fault developed in the paint of the train. The train stopped between Bharthana-Samho. Continuous efforts were made by the technical team to fix the fault in the train. Meanwhile, a relief engine was sent to the site from Sarai Bhupat station and the train was pulled and brought to Bharthana station.

Giving information, PRO Amit Kumar Singh said that the passengers of this train were sent to Kanpur by train number 22426 Anand Vihar-Ayodhya Cantt Vande Bharat Express, 300 passengers at 12:28, train 12004 New Delhi-Lucknow Shatabdi, 580 passengers and train 12816 New Delhi-Puri Express for the remaining 20 passengers. A special train was arranged at platform 5 to send the passengers from Kanpur to Varanasi. This train left for Varanasi at 14.46 with the passengers of Vande Bharat. During this, IRCTC made adequate arrangements keeping in mind all the food and beverage requirements of the passengers.
