Army Chief Upendra Dwivedi reached Jabalpur

Jabalpur, July 13 (HS). Indian Army Chief Upendra Dwivedi reached Jabalpur on Saturday. From here he reached Central India Area Headquarters where after inspection he also visited other centers along with CMM. After this, after meeting with military officials, he also gave instructions on some important subjects.

This is his first visit to Jabalpur after becoming the Army Chief. It is noteworthy that Lieutenant General Dwivedi is serving as the 30th Army Chief. Earlier also, he has served the country by holding the posts of Deputy Army Chief, Northern Army Commander, Digi Infantry and many other command appointments in the Army. During his career spanning over 39 years, he has held command appointments in challenging environments in every corner of the country.

He has commanded in Kashmir Valley as well as Rajasthan. He has also been the Sector Commander and Inspector General of Assam Rifles in the intense counter-terrorism environment in the North East. The Army Chief has also been associated with the Jammu and Kashmir Rifle Regimental Centre (JKRCC) in Jabalpur in the past, he went there and refreshed his memories of the old days.
