Ghaziabad, 18 May (Hindustan Reporter) Crime Branch police on Saturday exposed an inter-state smuggling gang involved in illegal arms smuggling. Police arrested four members of this gang and recovered 04 pistols with magazines and 06 pistols from their possession. This gang smuggles arms in Western Uttar Pradesh, Delhi NCR.
ADCP (Crime) Sachchidananda said that the arrested arms smugglers include Anas resident of Sarala Road Mohalla Telian near Namra Masjid Muradnagar, Anas Pehalwan resident of Rawli Road Jeetpur Rama Krishna Garden Muradnagar, Arif resident of Mohalla Qureshiyan Farukhnagar police station Tilamod and Inam resident of Millu's house Mohalla Kassam Dasna. After meeting him, he also started smuggling and selling pistols in the surrounding areas. He was jailed in 2021 for the murder of Shahrukh in Muradnagar.
After being released from jail, he met Anas Ghazi Pehalwan, who had also been jailed in cases of murder, extortion and attempt to murder etc. Together, Moin resident of Bijli Bamba Meerut and Aman alias Annu resident of Humayun Nagar Meerut bring pistols and pistols from Meerut and sell them further through Inam resident of Dasnagate Ghaziabad, Arif resident of Farukhnagar and Ankit resident of village Sherpur Paanga Niwadi Ghaziabad.
