Saharsa, May 29 (HS). On the instructions of the Superintendent of Police, strict vigil is being kept on wanted criminals to maintain law and order in the district. Also, criminals are being arrested after being caught. In another incident, a smuggler has been arrested with illegal weapons from Sarahi Mohalla of Sadar police station area. At the same time, a youth who was waving illegal weapons on social media has been arrested from Saur Bazar police station area.
On Wednesday, Cyber DSP Ajit Kumar held a press conference at Sadar police station and gave the above information to media persons. He told that Sadar police station chief received information from the District Intelligence Unit that Kishore Kumar Sharma, son of Vinod Sharma, resident of Sarahi, deals in illegal arms at his home. On receiving the information, the Sadar police station and the officers and personnel of the District Intelligence Unit took immediate action and cordoned off the house of the said person and searched the house. An illegal 315 rifle and a magazine were recovered from his house. Kishore Kumar Sharma was also arrested. When the arrested accused was questioned, he told that he buys these weapons from somewhere and sets up the rifle's parts at home and sells them. In this regard, further action is being taken by registering an Arms Act in Sadar police station.
He told that Kishore Kumar Sharma has a long criminal history under which a total of five cases are already registered in Sadar police station. Cyber DSP Ajit Kumar told that a video was received through social media in Saur Bazar police station area, in which a youth was brandishing an illegal country-made pistol during a fight between two parties in Chikani village. Which was verified by the police of Saur Bazar police station and the said youth was identified as Rahul Sharma son Suresh Sharma Chikani Ward No. 1 Police Station Saur Bazar, who on the basis of secret information was arrested from his house with a country-made pistol and two live cartridges.
In this regard, further action is being taken by registering an Arms Act in Saur Bazar Police Station. He said that the raiding team included Sadar Police Station President Shri Ram Singh, Police Sub Inspector Sujata Rani, Manish Kumar, District Intelligence Unit Officer, Saur Bazar Police Station President Avinash Kumar, Police Sub Inspector Gudiya Kumari of Saur Bazar Police Station, Bittu Kumar and the armed force personnel of the police station.
