With a career-high rating of 2771.2, Warangal's Arjun is behind Norway's Magnus Carlsen, USA's Hikaru Nakamura and Fabiano Caruana in the live rating list.
Playing for Metz Fischer Chess Club in the French Team Chess Championship, Arjun achieved his fourth consecutive victory.
Earlier, Arjun registered wins against compatriot Harikrishna Pentala, Germany's Vitali Kunin and Spain's Alvar Alonso Rosell to emerge with a total Elo rating of 9.8 from the tournament in France.
