Are your kidneys also in danger? Do not ignore these 5 minor signs at all:

News India Live, Digital Desk: Chronic kidney disease : The main function of the kidney is to remove toxins (dirt) from the body. If they stop doing their work, the poison starts dissolving in our blood. If we understand body language in the initial stage, then situations like dialysis or transplant can be avoided.

1. Change in color and frequency of urine
Are you suddenly feeling the need to go to the bathroom repeatedly at night? Or has the color of urine become dark yellow or red? The appearance of foam in the urine (which looks like soap foam) indicates that ‘protein’ is being released from the body, which is the biggest sign of kidney damage.

2. Swelling in face and legs
If you wake up in the morning and feel heaviness or swelling around your eyes, then be careful. When the kidneys are unable to remove excess sodium from the body, that water starts accumulating in the body parts, causing swelling in the ankles and feet.

3. Excessive fatigue and shortness of breath
Due to kidney failure, the body starts producing less hormone called ‘Erythropoietin’, which helps in making red blood cells. Due to its deficiency, oxygen reduces in the blood and the person starts panting even after walking a little. Feeling tired and weak throughout the day without any reason also indicates kidney failure.

4. Itching and dryness on the skin
When dirt starts increasing in the blood and the balance of minerals gets disturbed, the skin becomes very dry and itchy. This is an itch that cannot be cured by applying any cream, because the problem is not on the skin but in the filter system inside the body.

5. Change in taste of food and nausea
If you feel that everything tastes like metal or you have foul smell (ammonia breath) coming from your mouth, then do not ignore it. When the level of urea in the blood increases, appetite is lost and complaints like nausea often occur.

What do we do now?
For kidney health, drink enough water, reduce salt intake and most importantly – never take ‘painkiller’ medicines without doctor’s advice. These medicines act like poison for the kidneys. If you are also experiencing 2-3 symptoms mentioned above, immediately consult a doctor and get ‘KFT’ (Kidney Function Test) done.

Remember, a little caution can save your life.
