Bikaner, 20 May (HS). A special meeting of the Maharaja Ganga Singh University Management Board was held on Monday in the university campus under the chairmanship of Vice Chancellor Professor Manoj Dixit. In the meeting, the decisions taken in the special meeting of the University Academic Council were approved.

In the special meeting of the Academic Council, the format of degrees to be awarded by the University for the first time in the year 2021 was approved. Also, a total of 54 gold medal holders, one Chancellor's Medal, one Vice-Chancellor's Medal and 126880 examinees and 39 PhD holders who have completed research work from January 1, 2021 to December 31, 2021, were awarded degrees with photos of those who scored the highest marks in the final years in the year 2021 examination. The proposal to do so was also approved. The rules prepared by the Vidya Parishad for starting the Maharaja Ganga Singh and Maharaja Karni Singh Sports Awards were also approved.

In the meeting, University Registrar Hari Singh Meena informed the respected members about the convocation ceremony to be held on 7 June 2024 and its preparations. In the meeting of the Board of Management, it was also decided to install the statue of Bharat Ratna Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel in the university campus. Chancellor and Governor's representative Varun Yadav, Dean Inder Singh Rajpurohit, Professor Rajaram Koyal, Professor Anil Kumar Chhagani and University Finance Controller Arvind Singh Bishnoi participated in the meeting as special invitees.
