Lucknow Rain Harassment: Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath reprimanded the police officers for not taking any action against the mob that splashed rain water on a woman riding a bike and molested her on Wednesday in Gomtinagar, Lucknow, the capital of Uttar Pradesh. He transferred the DCP, ADCP, ACP and suspended the entire police station staff in this incident.

Due to heavy rains, waterlogging occurred in Lucknow's Gomtinagar area, after which a group of youths on the road threw water on the vehicles passing by. This group of youths threw water on a woman sitting behind on a bike passing by the road. Not only this, they threw the woman down from the bike and molested her. On Wednesday, the video of this incident went viral on social media.

However, after the incident, the Gomtinagar police station registered an FIR against the youth with a lenient sentence. However, it did not include the section related to the crime of sexual harassment. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath was very angry when this incident came to light.
Warning of strict action against criminals harassing women, the Chief Minister said, “We have taken the Gomti Nagar incident seriously. If any woman does not take safety seriously, she will have to face the consequences.”
The Chief Minister further said, 'We consider this incident very serious. As a result, we have transferred DCP East Prabal Pratap Singh, ADCP East Amit Kumawat and ACP Gomtinagar area Anshu Jain with immediate effect and all the employees including the Inspector of Gomtinagar police station have been suspended. Ultimately, in this incident, the police raided several places and arrested 16 youths and the search for some youths is still on.
