Apple CEO Tim Cook has met some students ahead of Apple WWDC 2024. He met all the students who won the Swift Student Challenge at Apple Park Cupertino. Tim Cook has also shared a video of this on the social media platform X.
The video also features Akshay Srivastava, who meets Tim Cook. Akshay Srivastava won the Swift Students Challenge this year thanks to his coding skills. 22-year-old Akshay hails from Varanasi and studies at KK Birla College, BITS Pilani, Goa.
Tim Cook praised
He has been coding since the age of 16. Tim Cook said about Akshay, 'When I visited India last year, I met many unusual developers. I saw a lot of enthusiasm about how technology can improve people's lives.
He added, “It was equally amazing to meet Akshay this week and see how he has found a new way to pursue his love for classic games.” Tim Cook said, 'Akshay is part of a growing generation of developers in India who are bringing their best ideas to life through coding and making a significant impact on their communities and the world.'

What is the Swift Student Challenge?
The Apple Swift Student Challenge is an annual competition in which students from all over the world participate. These students have to show their coding skills. They have to create interactive apps using Swift Playgrounds or Xcode. Its winners are evaluated on the basis of creativity, social impact and innovation. The candidate who wins this challenge gets a chance to visit the Apple headquarters. Apart from this, it has also been honored at Apple WWDC.
